The Spirit
Cafe Lindevangs history dating back to 1938, when the café opened with decor that was somewhat different from the café today. Eg. there was a spiral staircase that led up to the apartment upstairs, and there was established a stove in the café guests can warm themselves by. It is said that one of the first successes on the menu was a swinging portion hash with two fried eggs as the time cost 60 pennies. In the newer part of Cafe Lindevangs story was Ella Petersen, who reintroduced the menu with the good, Danish open sandwiches. John Hansen and Carsten Jensen took over Café Lindevang March 1, 2007 by Jørgen Krabbenhøft. The driver restaurant on with respect to the old traditions.
