3 economy tips: What you DO NOT do as a student
As a student you will experience not always have particularly much money to do good - it understands the author of this article as living with their parents students too. But that does not mean you have to live on pasta and ketchup.
We have in Denmark in addition to SU several opportunities to establish a fine life as a student - especially if we avoid some of the common traps. Here we set out to describe three of them. And article aims to tell you what not to do rather than what to do. It's a bit like losing weight - you drink a liter of soda every day will kiloene rattle of you if you stop this alone.
These tips are written in collaboration with Revisorpilot.dk .
Spar not up students
You get a little over 3,000 kroner at SKAT with your SU and probably a few thousand crowns on top of student job. It is enough to live, but not enough to save for the down payment on your next occasion.
And there is no reason to do it.
When you are finished with the studio and comes out the other end with a job you will soon earn 25 to 35,000 crowns a month. When you earn five times as much you can in a few months to save up what will take you study years.
Along with this you need to live on a stone at the studio to save. It's just not worth the trouble. Use the money you have as a student and save up when you come out the other side.
Do not start a new business with the company (but with the company)
To start up of self-employment on the study is a great idea - but not so good if you do it in a business and not a company.
A business - a sole proprietorship or an interesting cupboard - is not an independent legal structure. It is an "extension of you personally." Serves you with the company more than 11,000 crowns a month you can earn with SU will be offset against your SU ( read more about the theory here ).
In contrast to this is a company an independent construction. If you earn more in your company, you can just keep the money in your company. You will pay corporation tax (per the time of writing 25%), but it's better than personal taxation with corresponding offsetting your SU.
Focus not only on study
Will you come out on the other side of the studio without having been on exchange, without having had a student job, without having been independent - yes, without having done nothing but study is not necessarily easy to find a job. Not even if your grades are good.
Companies want students with experience. Do not sit every evening with your study, but come out and get a student job network in the Friday bar and start a small business. It says a huge amount about you as a person and can help to push you over the edge to the right job!
