World Championship in riding for university students?

As a student it can be difficult to find time and advice for his hobbies and at the same time be able to take care of his studies - especially if this is a hobby at the more expensive end of the scale such as riding. But even though students often do not have the strongest economy and riding is an incredibly expensive sport, there is an opportunity to combine the two things. WUC Equestrian is the World Horse Riding Championship for college students and is held by FISU (International University Sports Federation) every two years.

The World Horse Riding Championship for university students has existed since 1998, and in 2016 the Danish rider Katja Berg won gold in dressage.

To find the riders for the World Cup teams, there are competitions held, and there are organizations that gather and support the athletes. A VM team can consist of a maximum of four people, and the World Championships compete in dressage and jump - both for teams and individually.

University students from all over the world participate in the championship, and many troops up with both team leaders, coaches, travel winners and cheerleaders.

For the event, everyone rides on borrowed horses, and you compete in each round against other riders on the same horse. This is not about who can afford to bring the best horse, but about which riders can quickly and best adapt to a new horse.

If you are both a student and a rider, this championship can be the perfect solution for you. It does not require you to have a lot of money for an expensive horse, but simply that you have the most important equipment as a safe helmet and good riding pants - for example Kingsland riding pants .

Student sport is not a particularly well-known phenomenon in Denmark yet, but many other countries have already taken the phenomenon to themselves. There is a World Championship for university students in many different sports disciplines, such as handball, badminton and swimming. So you can advantageously investigate what opportunities exist for you to be able to live your passion while studying. One need not exclude the other.
