Education Ministry and school associations Announce Partnership

The Ministry of Education has entered into a partnership with the school organizations providing vocational training programs. This is to ensure flexibility and quality of labor market training.
In connection with the licensing round of labor market training (AMU) Ministry of Education has focused on a policy of zero tolerance for violation of the rules of AMU area. Therefore, the Ministry of Education had regular dialogue with school associations on how the principle of zero tolerance can be established in practice. And the dialogue has now resulted in an agreement on a partnership with director associations in the field. The partnership is partly to cooperate on the implementation of the zero tolerance principle and to ensure flexibility and quality in the Danish labor market training.

Dialogue meetings across the country

The first initiative of the partnership were a number of dialogue meetings throughout the country, which was held from 19 to 25 April 2010. At the meetings, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Danish Colleges - managers and providers of AMU. The dialogue meetings was to explain the responsibilities of approved providers of AMU in relation to managing the AMU within the current framework and in accordance with the statutory purposes.

The message to the institutions were clearly

Target and framework management, vocational training courses providing great freedom and flexibility in educational institutions in relation to the management of supply. However, educational institutions have an eye for that AMU is a public education program with a political purpose. "Remember that decentralized freedom and zero tolerance should not be seen as opposites, but as interdependent. Freedom and flexibility requires that lenders lend responsibly in relation to what is legislated.
