Wireless networks at all colleges

Wireless networks at all colleges

Danish schools is still in front when it comes to IT equipment in the classrooms and the use of ICT in education. It appears from the new study.
There is access to the wireless network from virtually all classrooms in secondary schools. This means that they are also accessible to, for example the Internet, which could be involved in all subjects, where appropriate.

New IT investments

According to a survey by the Ministry of Education in the spring of 2010. It also appears that more than half (60 percent) of the secondary school is considering new investments in the school's IT infrastructure, even though the schools are already very well equipped.

Continuing in front

"The survey generally shows that high schools have taken the technological challenge, both in terms of equipment and use. It is not known just as current foreign studies, but based on the experience of previous international studies, everything indicates that the secondary sector in Denmark remains at the forefront ", says Steen Lassen, teaching associate professor in the Ministry of Education.

Digital teaching aids

The study also shows that the new media and digital teaching materials have found their way into the classrooms. "There are indications that the new media is steadily becoming a bigger and bigger part of the palette that the teacher uses. It is not a goal in itself that all teachers must use, for example mobile phone in the teaching of all subjects . But it is a goal that the technology and the digital teaching materials are available and known and can be used when the relevant ", says Steen Lassen. Source: Ministry of education
