Many students find it difficult to concentrate on reading, as it may seem quite clear with the many pages to be obtained. What can you do to make it a little easier for yourself?

 

1. Read a place where others can see you

For some students, it's really good if they get somewhere where others can see them. That way, you may feel like someone is watching if you're reading. It may be in the reading room, library or cafe. 2. Listen to soothing music

You may want to concentrate better on your reading if you put some calming music on as you read. Often, if you find some music without song, it is best to focus on the song instead. 3. Turn off the Internet

It can be incredibly disturbing if there are always messages from your friends or apps that you really want to answer. Therefore, it may be a good idea to turn off the internet during the time you want to concentrate on your reading. For example, you can turn it on again when you pause.

4. Read in intervals

It can be a great help if you decide how long to read, rather than sharing your reading in number of pages. For example, you can agree with yourself that you read for 45 minutes and then hold a 15 minute break.
