East of Eden was filmed in 1955 and starring a young James Dean as rootless Cal Trask, who always disappoints his father, though he has the heart in the right place. Cal can not live up to father's expectations as its big brother Aron. East of Eden is moving on several levels and draws clear parallels to the biblical theme about Cain and Abel.
