Machines that can read minds, so far has been something that belongs in the movies we see in TV and cinema. But in the future the machines will move from the movies and in real life.
It assesses IT giant IBM in its annual innovation report. At IBM researchers namely started to examine how our brain may be linked to electronic devices such as smartphones and computers. IBM's goal is that in the future we just need to think about someone and then our phone call the person. And it should also be possible for us to control the cursor on the computer simply by using mind.

On the market in five years

Researchers in the field of bioinformatics has already designed headset with as advanced sensors that read electrical brain activity on us humans, and they can recognize the reactions of the face such as voltage and different levels of concentration. In addition, the sensitive sensors recognize the thoughts of a person without the person behind the mind is all physical. At IBM they do not expect that there will be a long time before we can read our thoughts using the new technology. We will within five years begin to see an early use of the technology in the gaming and entertainment industry. In addition, doctors could use the technology to test brain patterns, and this may be used for rehabilitation after stroke or help in understanding brain disorders like autism and so on.
