Student Odense saddles on and as a step towards getting our own physical student house has Studenterhus Odense in the last six months cleaned up and put our priorities on.

This means among other things that all who have an interest in supporting us - students and non-students - now you can join the association for just 100 kr. A membership provides access to cash rebates to our own event Kulturmaskinen while it is a clear voice in the debate on whether Odense must have a student, and what this house is for. In the same time around we have a new website and a new graphical profile that will make Studenterhus Odense to a well-known and recognizable brand in Odense. The new logo, we have worked together with Cosmo Graphic, and the new website are provided by redWEB. These are two good examples of how in the future we will establish closer cooperation with external actors than before, so as to play a greater role in Odense as a university. For the coming spring semester, we have chosen to focus our events on our carpenter Cafes, which will now be open on Sundays from 13-19. Here we take over the entire lower floor of Kulturmaskinen, and thus may invite you in for a relaxed atmosphere in the cafe, while typically will be a concert in the main hall. Again this semester will also see the Doc Lounge and Comedy. Student Odense is run by a volunteer board of directors, like the staff at our events are also volunteers. Membership is not a prerequisite for becoming a volunteer in the association and we can always use more volunteers for all sorts of tasks, large and small.
