Theses are delivered faster by new rules

New rules about thesis writing at universities entered into force on 1 September 2008.
The rules were put in place, to prevent graduate students from using one or more years writing their thesis. The new rules go out on that one can no longer submit the thesis when you want it, but instead to dispose of it six months after it has begun. Failure to do so dump it and get three months to solve a new problem formulation. This is achieved not, then you get another problem formulation and three months. You will then be expelled from the university if you do not solve the task. For this reason, delayed specialties already fallen by around 10% estimate studio chief at University of Southern Denmark Per Andersen. StudenterGuiden.dk see a positive effect of those rules because students no longer have to spend considerably more time than the accrued six months of the thesis for obtaining a good grade. It goes without saying if there are students who spend several years on a thesis, it will be harder for the students that follow the prescribed six months for a thesis to obtain an equivalent good character. On the other hand, you should not ignore that it also may close some opportunities to students coming forward to new knowledge that could be of benefit to society. Compared to industry crying out for skilled labor mean StudenterGuiden.dk that the rule is slightly positive for Denmark and its students.
