Six new higher education

New programs in communication and journalism to meet the social needs of targeted communicators in the public and private sectors. The Minister of Education has approved a total of six new higher education.
Communication, journalism, dentistry, agriculture activities and materials technology. Society is constantly changing. Hence the need for new programs, which can meet new demands from the labor market. Education Minister Tina Nedergaard has approved six new higher education. "I am delighted to welcome the six new programs welcome the education palette. The programs have all been through an accreditation, to ensure their academic quality and relevance. First, the proposals were screened in the Ministry of education to ensure that the new education has an economic relevance that employers need the skills trained and which is thus employment opportunities for those who read the program, "says Tina Nedergaard. Danish School of Media and Journalism has been approved two new programs; A professional training in communication and a Diploma in visual journalism. Attempts training graphic communication at the Media College of Copenhagen has changed its name to professional training in visual communication and has been extended with a new study of photographic communication. Study direction also opens up new training opportunities for skilled photographers. Oral Health Care has been raised to professional level. Dental hygienist academic level must be strengthened so that the future need for increased skills The dental profession can be accommodated. In the technical area, the Minister also approved a new engineering diploma in materials technology. The training program aims clothing and furniture and educates in the development, production and marketing of new textile forms. Bachelor Education as Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Engineering Duration: 3.5 years (210 ECTS credits) Applicant: University College VIA UC Tender: University College VIA UC (Herning) Purpose / commercial aim: To train graduate engineers who can work on the development of new materials for textiles clothing and furniture. The graduates should be able to lead and manage processes associated with material and product development, both in the design process and how to proceed with the negotiation and marketing. The program has two specialty directions; clothing industry, targeting the textile natural and man-made fibers, and furniture business, targeting the materials of wood, plastic and metal. Beside the material knowledge taught also in economics, logistics, production, quality, environment, communication. Bachelor Education in communication Duration: 3.5 years (210 ECTS credits) Applicant: Danish School of Media and Journalism Contract: Media Copenhagen Business School and the School of Journalism in Aarhus Purpose / commercial aim: to qualify students to independently handle the entire process of communication tasks from the identification and analysis of needs for execution on relevant media platforms, as well as to carry out their tasks based on business understanding and knowledge of the task stakeholders. The program targets the communication tasks in private and public organizations, and are taught in addition to communication also in social science, organization theory, research and understanding of business and economics. Bachelor Education in dentistry Duration: Three years (180 ECTS credits). Applicant: University of Aarhus and University of Copenhagen Contract: Aarhus University and the University of Copenhagen Purpose / vocational orientation: The program is an upgrading of the current dental hygienist training to professional level. It must qualify the students to work independently in the profession and provide dental profession a new professional gravitational field of diagnostics, treatment planning, prevention, risk assessment, treatment and health promotion. Bachelor Education in Agriculture business (secondary education) Duration: 1,5 years (90 ECTS credits) Applicant: Academy Tender: Business Academy Aarhus (Århus), Academy Little Belt (Odense), Business Academy Zealand (Slagelse) Purpose / commercial aim: to train graduates who can perform jobs within the agricultural area with advice, governance, management, sales and training. The program covers agriculture in both agriculture and horticulture and is constructed with two fields of study, biology and agriculture economy. The program is a superstructure on vocational training in agricultural technology or other relevant training at vocational level. Diploma in visual journalism Duration: One year (60 ECTS credits), usually organized as part-time study over two years Applicant: Danish School of Media and Journalism Contract: Media School in Copenhagen and journalist School of business Purpose / commercial aim: to qualify trained journalists and communicators in the understanding of visual techniques and measures across the different media platforms that are used in the media and communications industry.
