Travel passions run high, but the purse is empty.

This is the situation right now for many Danish students.

But travel does not have to be as expensive again. You can save money on both your flights, hotel accommodation and travel in general by being out in real time and right place.

Compare prices online - and buy one month before

You'll find your cheap flights through online search engines. Enter the date you would like to travel and to which the journey goes - and so are the cheapest tickets found.

If you're flexible with your time, you can save a lot of money. Flights early morning and late evening cost less than those in the middle of the day because they are more difficult to deal with. You either have to get up early in the morning or as you come very late to bed, where you come across.

But as a student - where it's more important to save 1,000 kroner than sleeping late on a Tuesday morning - it makes sense with the cheap flights early and late in the day.

Be sure also to book well in advance. From one month onwards, your flight just more and more expensive every day that passes. Haste, less speed, but if you are late, you also pay a very high price for your flights.

Airbnb and Wimdu for accommodation

When you come, consider an alternative to your usual hotel. Hotels are comfortable, but it also costs many hundred bucks to spend the night in most European cities.

It's portals where private have the option of renting individual rooms or entire apartments out. You can rent apartments and houses where you go.

It has two advantages.

One is that you have a whole apartment for yourself and not just a single hotel room. The second is that it is often cheaper because it is a private person just trying to earn a little extra money "on the side".

Using the reviews, you can be sure you find a good landlord Airbnb and Wimdu. So you can simply delight you to experience travel destination in little more "authentic" terms than you would with a standard hotel room.

If the holidays have to go to Paris, New York or London, you also have the option to save money.

The major European holiday destination knows you, but because there are many tourists it costs money. Your flight to London may cost a few hundred bucks, but in return cost hotel room you 1000 crowns per night.

Instead, consider destinations such as:

• Prague
• Budapest
• Lyon
• malta
• Thessaloniki
• or Dublin

For too familiar and delicious cities with good weather and sights, but which takes a slightly different budget than you might be used to.
