Professor Lord Anthony Giddens guests KU
In 2007 published the well-known sociologist Anthony Giddens "Europe in the Global Age". Here he argued for a rethinking of the traditional welfare state. He emphasized: "We have two generating lifestyle changes in heart of what 'welfare' means" is. He will in his lecture entitled "The Politics of Life-Style Change " present his ideas about these changes and challenges to the welfare state. Admission to the lecture requires a personal invitation. Additionally, there are some 200 seats will be occupied by "first-come, " - principle. The doors closed when the hall is full. The guest lecture is organized by the Institute of Sports.
