The latest figures for the internship situation in VET shows a slight increase in the number of training agreements. But many young people are still without an internship.
In January and February 2010 were signed 4,525 training agreements between companies and students in vocational training. This is an increase of 2 percent when compared with the number of contracts concluded in January and February 2009. The positive development seen in 10 of the 12 entrances to vocational training. The two main entrances, Construction and Mercantile, has an increases of 7 and 15 percent. More students seeking internship

The statistics also show an increase in the number of internship-seeking students. 7,998 students were looking for an internship in February 2010. This represents an increase of 90 percent compared to the same period in 2009. Of the internship seekers were 3,421 students in school. That's 93 percent more than in February 2009.
