University of Southern Denmark is the 16 to 18 September hosted an international conference on entrepreneurship with an international vision.

The conference will focus on the opportunities and challenges of international entrepreneurs face as a consequence of the economic crisis. About 70 scientists from around the world participate in the conference. They will each contribute with the latest research in Small Business / Entrepreneurship and International Business and will in a workshop engaging with some of the practitioners who sits in companies and reality close to the body. Therefore, a number of Danish companies also at the conference, as well as decision-maker from the local business and organizations working to strengthen entrepreneurship internationally, is also invited. The goal of the conference is to analyze the patterns and forces which in the future will influence international entrepreneurship.

Important for society

Professor Tage Meat Madsen, from the Department of Marketing and Management is very pleased that Odense has been selected as a conference. Especially because it is a result of the research conducted at the university. - Entrepreneurs with international focus is not only interesting for scientists, but for the entire Danish society. Denmark will in future be living by businesses just can supply the 'pinprick' of competence that no one else can. It can be as specialized subcontractors, development companies, idea smiths or as the company sits as the spider in the center and organizes an international network of companies working together to maximize customer value, says Tage Meat Madsen.
