Jazz Festival in Aarhus
Aarhus Jazz Festival has been experiencing every year for the last 21 years. The festival has gained a reputation of being a small, cozy festival which, however, has been able to offer internationally recognized names on the poster. This year will feature names such as BG Swing Quartet, Will Bernard, Abdullah Ibrahim Trio, Josefine Lindstrand, The Slammers Maximum Jive Band, Bang Bing Bum, Copenhagen Art Ensemble, East Coast Jazz Band and many many others. The concerts take place at almost any time of day, ranging from cautious tones over breakfast to the cozy afternoon concerts and festive natjazz. There will also be children's jazz arranged special to entertain the smaller. During these days there will be approximately 20 concerts at the monastery square, and in addition, a myriad of smaller concerts at several city venues.
