It will strengthen distance learning and differentiated teaching

IT-based sample forms and distance learning in higher education are among the projects, a new effort by the Ministry of Education and eVidenCenter, National Research Centre for e-learning should focus on.
How can students study, even though they live far from educational institutions? How best to challenge students with additional tasks appropriate to their level, conduct the examination them more business-related with concrete simulated job or retrain them flexible and almost independent of time and place? It can all be done using it. The Ministry of Education has allocated six million kroner to nine different IT projects in didactics, study tools, skills development, IT-based methods of evaluation, differentiated teaching, retention, continuing education, distance learning and training skills for the new millennium. The nine projects incorporated into education for financial economist, nurse, teacher, laboratory technician and diploma leader. Projects must improve and spread the best examples in IT application, so all programs at what works, what does not and how they can use IT to improve teaching. In addition to the six million kroner from the Ministry of Education contributes eVidenCenter and the participating institutions even with just under two million kroner to realize the projects. "We must seize the opportunities it provides to people who live far away from an educational institution, can get an education or training. I have high hopes for. We will also focus on integrating ICT in education, so it is natural to use it in line with other forms of teaching. I look forward to that we have created some programs that can show the way for the rest of the sector, "says Education Minister Bertel Haarder. Title: E-learning in continuing training Participants: Metropolitan University College, VIA UC, IBC and networks for the technical and commercial VVU'er. Purpose: To develop and implement greater use of e-learning in continuing education. 2. Title: Development of subject-specific e-didactics Participants: eVidenCenter. Objective: To contribute to the development and realization of it's many opportunities to improve teaching professionalism and thus demonstrate to teachers that the use of IT to improve their teaching. 3. Title: IT-based study tools, which can develop the students' study skills Participants: Copenhagen Business Academy, VIA UC. Purpose: To gather knowledge and develop IT-based recording tools for self-development of the students' study skills. 4. Title: Competence development of teachers in higher education Participants: Academies and university colleges, eVidenCenter. Objective: To contribute to the development of teachers at university colleges and erhvervsakdemiers skills for using e-didactics and teaching generation Y. 5. Title: Experiments with IT-based methods of evaluation Participants: UCL, VIA UC. Purpose: To support the development of IT-based forms of testing, partly because it is considered to be a way to get it into the program and also to create more business close exams. 6. Title: Differentiated teaching using IT Participants: Business Academy Aarhus, VIA UC. Purpose: To develop best practice for IT-supported teaching differentiation and for professional education. 7. Title: IT as a restraint Participants: Danish vocational schools and university colleges rector college. Purpose: To describe best practices for using it as a means of retaining drop out students. 8. Title: Educational Competences for the new millennium Participants: UC Syd and Denmark's Electronic Research Library. Purpose: To develop educational program that requires the use of the IT-related skills that will be in demand in the future labor market. 9. Title: Distance Learning Participants: Teacher training in Nr. Nissum and Skive. Purpose: To describe best practices for the organization of the profession and professional education as distance learning. Source: Ministry of Education
