Experience Economy is one of the greatest buzz words that testify to creative industries and culture plays a central role in both economy and development at the moment. This has created an increasing need for planning of culture and especially training in cultural planning. This autumn opened its doors at RU for a Master's Degree in Cultural Planning.
There will be an information meeting on Master in Cultural Planning Wednesday, June 11 at. 15 to 17, in Building 02 at RU. All interested are welcome. Registration for aschouk@ruc.dk. The concept of the experience economy presents a number of challenges compared to conventional notions about culture and about how businesses innovate and create, organize and locate themselves, marketed and managed. And the challenge applies equally, and not least, for the public sector. Master in Cultural Planning aims to serve as education for employees in the public sector, especially planners, cultural and social workers, but is also highly relevant for employees, among other tourist offices and for consultants and private operators. With a Master in Cultural Planning achieves a wide range of skills that are based on analytical skills, communication within the academic requirements and standards for a multidisciplinary approach to issues that constructive cooperation with others, and the organization and management of the project. Moreover, it makes broad knowledge in relation to theories in the field and in relation to how empirical work methods can be used to resolve the problems. More specifically, one becomes, through training, equipped to plan in a way which maximizes yield and value of the relatively few funds that are often cultural. This is among other things to use existing resources wisely and to think about culture in a way where you take on board, for example, everyday life and tourism. The program consists of four modules. 1. module: Culture Plan of the action subject field; experience economy, the cultural environment, urban development, cultural sector and regional planning. 2nd module: The population's diverse cultures; life, everyday life and living cultural identities. 3. Module: Cultural Plan of the action methods, criteria and values; aesthetics, landscape, history, ethics, and urban and regional development. 4. Module: Specialization and dissertation.
