A swindler in Odense has tricked a group of foreign students in the region of DKK 108.000.-. The group of young students had spent this amount, so they could get a good place to stay while they read in Odense. The scammer is already arrested, but police believe that it is doubtful whether the students ever get their money back.

More Odense Dominican organizations and citizens have therefore started the initiative "Odense is better than that." This has not only designed to raise money for the unfortunate students, but also to make it clear that the city and its citizens will not tolerate that individuals must destroy the city's reputation.

The initiative hopes to undo the damage, and also ensure that students can get their studio adventure met. They will continue to manage the many donations and support - which the group has already received.
