Distortion has since 1998 pushed the boundaries of how to throw a party in Copenhagen, and the whole show is can only be done through the over 1000 volunteers who put lends a hand in the planning and afvikligen of the festival.

As a volunteer at Distortion become part of a unique team, and will be titled Captain Street.
All Street Captains must work around 16 hours before, during or after the festival, so all also have ample opportunity to take part in the party, and in addition there are a number of perks for the beloved Street Captains; A Volunteetr Pass, giving access to E Distortion Distortions and all other parties own; Food vouchers and Drink Tickets, so not Gade Captains hungry or thirsty; a T-shirt as custom designed for all Street Captains.

Additionally, they all Distortion events a special area allocated Street Captains called Volunteer Centre. Here all the streets Captains, Project Managers, Area Managers and other folks from the festival come over and meet like-minded people, who probably all have experiences to share from the festival.
