5 bids for alternative and exciting destinations
The world is big and exciting so there is no need to travel to the same charter destinations as all the other tourists also visit. Expand your horizons with these different five destinations.
Summer vacation is over us and you may have saved together for a summer vacation, but where should you go?
Many tourists choose the known charter destinations such as Greece or Spain when they travel for summer vacation. But if you are into adventure and experiences and fewer tourists, it may make sense to explore other travel destinations that are either more alternative or perhaps just overlooked.
Here you get our five bids on new destinations:
1: Bosnia and Herzegovina
The country has a brutal history of ethnic cleansing and mass murder that has kept tourists and visitors at a safe distance. But even if it is a country still on the war, and where you can still see physical shot holes and broken buildings, today it is a peaceful and beautiful country, which offers amazing scenery with beautiful mountains and waterfalls, Multiethnic culture and cheap, delicious food.
2: Norway
Do you also associate Norway with our rich, but otherwise anonymous neighbor, and boring family sledges? So think again. Go hiking in Northern Norway and experience amazing scenery while you are sleeping in the open air. You can swim and fish in the mountain islands, and if you go up north, you may be lucky and experience the northern lights - and now you have also learned a lot of Norwegian glossary after seeing Skam, which you can lurk. But Norway is expensive, so take the camping equipment.
3: Tanzania
Africa is much more than civil war, famine and ebola - it's a fantastic continent that offers a vibrant culture and overwhelming nature experiences. However, there are still war in some African countries that you have to control beyond. But Tanzania on the east coast is a peaceful country where you have the opportunity to go to safari and experience the rich wildlife. If you are more for exotic bounty beaches, visit Zanzibar, there is an island that lies off Tanzania's coast. Tanzania Tours can help you plan your trip.
4: The Transsibirian Railway
Take a fantastic train ride across seven time zones and experience Russia, Siberia, Mongolia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and India along the way. Get off at the various stations along the way and sleep with the locals as you wander around in the endless scenery and taste the local delights. Unless you are extra cold, it is recommended to take a trip in the summer as it can freeze to 50 minus degrees in Siberia in the winter.
5: Canada
Drop the trip to the United States and substitute for their northern neighbor, Canada, which is one of the world's largest countries. Not only does the country have the world's most beautiful head of state in the form of Justin Trudeau, so they can also turn out to be a true mecca for art and gastronomy enthusiasts. Visit Montréal, where the world famous jazz festival is just the tip of the cultural iceberg that hits the city every summer. If you are a foodie, visit the many great restaurants where you can experience French-Canadian cooking at its very best.
