3 hacks to boost your learning

In higher education, there is often examinations two times a year - 1-3 per time. So you have 2-6 chances a year to show what you can.

Therefore, you must remember what you hear the lecture and you should be able to bring it forward again for the exam.

Learn with LEGO bricks

You have certainly been playing with Lego when you were a child. It can actually good start again.

Danish LEGO has a Divison called Serious Play. Here, managers, business owners and self-build their businesses and concepts with LEGO bricks and get a completely different understanding of what they are doing.

It's fun - but not for fun. LEGO Serious Play is discussed by, among others Forbes and the recognized dudannelsesinstitution Singularity University.

Keep structured breaks

It's tempting to take a "marathon" and then just give it full throttle. But not recommended.

Your brain needs to take breaks and treat the material you have read. Therefore structured breaks be your best friend.

Make it a habit once you've read in 45 minutes to take a 10 minute break dedicated. Here you can go for a walk, take a bite to eat or just sit in the chair and stretch your legs. But you should not be in the process of reading.

You can also try Pomodoro system. It keeps you first time in work for 25 minutes and then a 5-minute break. When you get better at keeping the concentration becomes 30 minutes, 35 minutes till 45 minutes. You can get an app for your phone to keep track of your sessions, but you can also just use the stopwatch or maybe even an old-fashioned egg timer.

Take frequent exams for yourself

It is not without reason that the Danish education system is built on exams. Fear of a bad character is a strong motivator to get studied, as companies can use the characters to separate the wheat from the chaff in the first place.

But why first take the exam when the semester is over and it really counts?
