Young people can get global IT from the start

Globalization is the key to growth. Therefore, take the IT University challenge and launches his third undergraduate program aimed at creating globally oriented IT staff, which contributes to both the technical, organizational and business.
Soon open IT University of Copenhagen up a whole new and third undergraduate program, Global Business Informatics, where students have the opportunity to try to develop IT solutions globally. The background to the program is the global challenge, Danish companies increasingly are facing, and it is a big part of the solution. At Global Business Informatics students learn to study and design IT solutions that support collaboration, coordination and communication between people and across companies and continents. During the training, they will therefore get to work with the social science, business and technical perspectives on IT globally.

Long-term plan for basic funds

Bachelor's degree in Global Business Informatics has been created on the basis of support from the Ministry of Science and the parties behind the globalization settlement. - We are very pleased that we can now start the undergraduate program number three in the series. This new program is made possible, because there is now subject to a long-term plan for IT Univesitetets basic funds, explains Mads Tofte, rector at the IT University. The new program is expected to give a half times more undergraduate students than the current 120. - We therefore count on the IT University of recording 180 new undergraduate students for next year, of which 60 are recorded on the new Blobal Business Informatics, and still 120 students admitted the two "old" - Digital media and design and Software Development, says Mads Tofte.

The industry is positive

In the IT industry is also looking favorably on the new, globally oriented bachelor degree. - Global IT projects and global project management is here to stay. It is extremely gratifying that the young IT students now from the start in good conditions can inform and improve their skills globally.
