School students completed voluntary national test

School students completed voluntary national test

The voluntary national test ended Friday. More than half of the country's schools have gone through the tests, which will become mandatory in the spring.
The national test gives teachers the opportunity to continually assess how well students are doing, so that teaching can be organized with the best possible outcome for each student. The country's schools have had to voluntarily test the system. Reports from the participating schools is to test the system works. Some teachers, however, expressed that they think the tasks in small classes - especially in reading - is very difficult. "Overall we are satisfied with how it has gone. We are pleased that so many have chosen to learn to know the system, although this time can only use the results to compare students with each other in class - and not hold them up against a national average, "says Director of School Agency, Martin The ice Becker.

Must contain difficult tasks

Martin Isen Becker can understand that many have been surprised abandoned the severity. He explains that the method is by the book when a new test system to be tested. "We are sad that some have had a bad experience because of the severity. There are simply talking about a completely new test system to contain difficult tasks. It is built so that it adapts to the students along the way. It has been shown that in the second class students can respond to very difficult tasks, therefore there must be challenges for both academically weak and strong students, says Martin Isen Becker. He stresses that the school board is listening to all feedback and will step up its information campaign up to the mandatory test in the spring.
