SDU need for educating children librarians

University got the other day green light - 1 September - to start a degree in library science and knowledge communication that breaks the Danish School of Librarianship, exclusive of the education of librarians.
Now, the Danish Agency for Libraries and Media also awarded the University's Continuing Education, SDUE, the task to coordinate the training of children's librarians. The training shall work includes creating new stories about children's libraries as knowledge, learning, and backs The experience centers. The program is offered in collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark Institute of Literature, Media and Cultural Studies, Royal School of Library and School of Education. The modular training can be taken in Odense, Kolding, Copenhagen and Aalborg. First team starts in mid-May 2009 in Copenhagen. Source: University of Southern Denmark
