Most choose to take a gap year before beginning the study, but who actually says that you can not do it after the study is completed? Or maybe even in both cases. It's great to travel and it helps form us as people.

Of course it is also important to get a foot in the labor market and have a career, but there are many ways of doing this and with the increasing globalization is the beginning of one's career do not necessarily home in Denmark. The world is full of opportunities and it is just to find exactly the right path for ourselves. And it will be first out when samples.

Options are many

There are as many ways to travel. Charter or backpacker trips are probably those most familiar with and have tried their hand at himself, but there are an infinite number of other ways in which one can experience the world.

Many students have a dream to travel, either before, during or after the study. Travelling during the study is a great opportunity, but it does not have to necessarily restrict you to use the other two options. We are actually privileged in Denmark that we receive support from the state throughout our training and this money you can freely take with you abroad. In addition, it is you are free to browse various scholarships. Once you have completed your study, it is a slightly different matter.

For a while you have the opportunity to receive benefits if you are registered with an unemployment insurance fund, but this money is not legally entitled to receive unless you are available. Which you obviously can not be while you are abroad. Abroad Internship is a different matter. And even if only for a short period, then it can certainly give you much both the personal- but also a working level.

Although it may be nice to have a source of income with you, then freedom is not the same if you are attached to an unemployment fund home. Therefore we will in the next section to look at some of the other options you have to travel after you have completed your studies.

Choose the right travel types

• Savings: There is of course that traditional opportunity to take advantage of a savings. About this is built up before, during or after the study can be individually. This is a good way to travel, which gives you a great freedom to experience a lot, but unfortunately the timeframe for the most limited to a few months.
• Spring like digital nomad : It will be a digital nomad or self-employed within many industries and with the increasing quality of the Internet around the world, we have excellent opportunities to work right there where you want. Whether you settle down in another country, traveling around or take turns being in Denmark and abroad can even juggle as you like. This method is obviously not for everyone, but it does not mean that you should not turn it out of your head right away. There are many more options than you think and it's just about to seize the opportunity and make your own future!
• Find a job abroad: There are many opportunities to find jobs abroad. Whether you take what you can find along the way or take a fixed position before you take the plunge, it's a golden opportunity. It gives you both the opportunity to live and stay in another country, but at the same time keep your career alive. Income is mostly something else abroad, of course, depending on where in the world you go to, but to find a job abroad is not about income, but rather experiences.
