So the time has come for carnival in Aalborg, which takes place on 24, 28 and 29 May. Carnival in Aalborg is northern Europe's largest folk carnival, with over 30,000 active participants, which each year takes place in Aalborg.

The party is divided into three parts, 24 is thus carnival for children, where children and parents participating in a large parade. On 28 May there is the "Battle of Carnival Bands" which is a big international carnival competition, which invited groups compete to be named best carnival group. The parade goes through the city and the subsequent stage show is a great opportunity to experience all sorts of carnival cultures at full blast. The competition starts its parade of Østergade / On the beach at. 18, and about an hour later yesterday the first group on stage with their show. Finally, there will 29 be probably the greatest of events, namely carnival where everyone can participate. Under the motto "The street is scenen- you are a street performer" the stage is set for a grand party where all are welcome to attend. The carnival is here divided into two events, first a gigantic parade, where small groups, starting around the city which will finally meet in Kildeparken where here will be a huge carnival party where about 25,000 people each year partying.
