Christmas in Old Town

So Christmas is the door and the Old City in Aarhus opens the doors to this year's "Christmas In The Old Town". The exhibition starts on 22 November and runs through to December 30.
The theme for this year's exhibition is "Your and my Christmas". The Old Town's usual Christmas exhibition tells about the traditional Christmas in Denmark in all walks of life, from the small chambers for the great looking rooms. It also shows the development in the Danish Christmas customs from the pious Christmas table in 1625-1929 when the Christmas tree had arrived in the Danish living rooms. The exhibition offers many different exhibits and entertainment. Try for example. a ride in one of Kapervognene, view the unique collection from 'Peter's Christmas', take into Traktørstedet and taste one of the Christmas specialties or take in and experience one of the most festive Christmas festivities. The exhibition is filled with Christmas spirit, there is an abundance of ornaments, Christmas trees, crawling elves, Christmas cakes and much more. It is a unique mood to go out crooked streets and so the fine Christmas show in all the shop windows in the twilight, only lit by the old gas lamps.
