International Summer Academy on Human Rights and Minorities conditions in light of 9/11. Humanity in Action organizes 5-week academy with discussions, research, site visits, internships and lectures for students from Denmark, USA, Sweden and Bosnia.
Humanity in Action has opened the application for students to the organization's intense Summer Academy in 2011, which focuses on human rights and minority issues. Academy lasts five weeks and takes place in Copenhagen, Lund and Berlin from 2 June-3.juli and the program includes meetings with experts in the field, sitevisits to closed institutions and active research with the opportunity to spar with researchers and social workers. The Academy is in English with the participation of students from Europe and the United States. Humanity in Action covers all the costs associated with the program, except for trips to the College starting in Copenhagen and from the College's end in Berlin. After participating in the academy you have the opportunity to apply for an internship with one of the most exciting international institutions Humanity in Action cooperates; including the US Congress, the European Parliament and the Anne Frank Foundation in the Netherlands. Summer Academy is one of five simultaneous European sommerakademier and aims to educate students about human rights and minorities conditions in European society in an international context. The experience at the academy are directly applicable both in study and work context in which the focus is on translating theoretical knowledge into practical projects subsequently.
