Good start for the new VEU centers

The majority of the 13 new VEU centers has made a good start, and most involved welcomes the challenges of the future, concludes the Danish Evaluation Institute in a new evaluation.
Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA) published December 1, 2010 an interim evaluation of the 13 VEU centers (adult vocational training centers), which was established on 1 January 2010. The purpose of the mid-term evaluation are: 1. To describe the start-up and organization viewed from the central actors' perspective 2. to identify opportunities and barriers in VEU centers work, as they appear now 3. to identify different approaches to problem solving from VEU centers development contracts. EVA concludes that the start of VEU centers generally proceeded positively and according to plan. The majority of institutions are optimistic, particularly the host institutions and the majority believe in the idea of ​​cooperation between the institutions in VEU center. A smaller group is also positive, but takes a somewhat skeptical as to whether it is feasible to establish a constructive cooperation. And finally, there are a few who fundamentally believe that closer cooperation can bring something useful with them. EVA will in early 2012 to present the final evaluation of VEU centers where this evaluation, the boot process will be combined with an evaluation of the impact of the establishment of VEU centers had.
