The number of young people who have an income of at least 41,666 kroner before tax per month is more than doubled in three years, according to figures from Statistics Denmark.
In 2004, there were 318 young people with high levels of income, and in 2007 the number of people under 25, each month could raise the good salary, increased to 814. Chief Economist at Handelsbanken Jes Asmussen, believes that especially the IT industry's lack of work force the last few years, which has helped to provide salary boosts. "Many IT companies have been crying for labor, and it has been relatively easy for young people without a proper education to get off the street and get a high salary for their IT skills," Asmussen said. Also among the 25- 44 year olds is the number that serves more than 500,000 a year, increased from 90.947 to 135.738 people.
