March 1, 2011 shall Ministry of Education's new organizational structure in force. The new structure means among other things that the school board and the Agency for State Education abolished. Be established instead two new agencies: the National Education Authority and Quality and Supervision Agency. At the same time brought together a number of interdisciplinary tasks central to the new department.

Education Authority handles operational tasks, development, management-related tasks and laws in the areas of: * Education: elementary school, public education, free primary education, secondary education and guidance * Vocational education: vocational education, higher education, adult and continuing education * Aid, including SU, SVU and VEU.

Quality and Supervision Agency

Quality and Supervision Agency carries out economic, institutional and substantive and pedagogical supervision of all Ministry of Education training areas. Quality and Supervision Agency perpetuates the multiple tasks of the former school board and is responsible for quality development, test and subsidies. Service will also operate various councils and boards, among other SU-appeals board and perform tasks related to examination and examination administration.
