Danish universities in crisis

Never have there been so many ex-students as this year, yet the applications to the universities and other higher education lower than ever.
Blame powers previously the new stricter rules and that right now it is very easy to get good jobs. The drop in applications is so catastrophic that SF would like to change the admission requirements and the universities considering agreeing to dismantle small studies, so they only offered at a single university. The reason why SF wants changes in the rules is that fewer applicants means that applicants with lower grade averages suddenly have access to the more demanding courses. Eg. all came into political science at Aarhus in years, and there are still places available. To students with lower average coming in at the demanding training increases the drop-out rate - at least according to all statistics. And this further apostasy will get university budgets to bleed even more than they already do with the few students they are getting into. It's the same reason why universities are likely to turn small studies together in the long term, and thus only offer them one place in the country, because there are not enough students for the economically viable route, offering programs in several places in the country. It looks like a vicious spiral Denmark's education system has fallen into. StudenterGuiden.dk monitoring the case.
