Schoolchildren has a new president

Vera Rose Beck replaces Troels Boldt Rømer as chairman of the country's 600,000 schoolchildren.

Danish School students have a new president. Vera Rose Beck, 14, replaces Troels Boldt Rømer. The election took place at the Danish pupils' general meeting on 27 March 2011. The new president goes on Trekroner School in Roskilde. She has essentially two key issues: educational environment and more daily challenges as temps and hours. "Students have a right to decent conditions, and I work for," says Vera Rose Beck. Education Minister Troels Lund Poulsen was the guest speaker for the Annual General Meeting. He has high hopes for the new president. "I look forward to close cooperation," stated Troels Lund Poulsen. Source: UVM.dk
