How to survive on summer music festivals

How to survive on summer music festivals

You may have purchased tickets for one or more of the summer's many festivals. It may be that this is the first time you go to the festival, and therefore do not know how to spend a festival. There are not so many rules when you are at the festival, but if you want to ensure a good experience, read with here.

1. Bring a trolley or trunk with wheels on

When you go to the festival you are most often in a very long queue with all your heavy things. It would therefore be a good idea to have a trolley or a suitcase with wheels on which you can transport it all. This also applies when you go shopping at the local supermarket if you want to buy new drinks and food. This makes it much easier and faster to get back and forth with your heavy things.

2. Make sure to bring a solid tent and tarpaulins

This of course only applies if you are going to spend the night at the festival site. It is important to keep in mind that there are often rainy weather on summer festivals. Sometimes the festivals are so flooded with rain and mud that the tents collapse, making it difficult to stay overnight in the tent. It would therefore be a good idea to acquire a solid tent which may cost a little more than usual. One can, however, choose that the whole group of people who are going to sleep in the tent is wondering about it. In addition, it is a good idea to bring at least one large tarpaulin to lay under and above the tent in case of rain.

3. Save money by making the food yourself

At the festival square there are always plenty of food stalls where food is a bit more expensive than if you shop for yourself. You do not have the opportunity to make different advanced dishes, but you can shop for a good rye bread or a salad that can even make the worst hunger. That way, you can save money on food, and instead use them for beer and drinks when you are at the festival

4. Make the camp comfortable

Often you are in the camp at the festival site from start to finish, which is about one week. If you do not want to get up or go all the time, it would be a good idea to bring one or more chairs that you and your friends can sit in. Obviously there should be chairs that are easy to transport and Can be closed together. In addition, it can quickly get cold at night, so to avoid freezing, place a bed under the air mattress you sleep on to insulate the cold from the ground

5. Small fiddles for the festival

If you want to cool your drinks, you can bring a cool bag or buy a children's pool filled with water. It may be a matter of taste, whether it is necessary or not, as it may also seem unnecessary to drag. But nevertheless, the festival experience makes a bit better with cooled beers and drinks. A last but good rule of thumb is to bring gaffa tape that fixes everything if something breaks. In addition, it may be a good idea to have a flashlight with the phone dead. It might be very nice to see where one's little thing is in the tent when darkness has fallen.
