Significant growth of welfare programs

This year's quota two applications shows a significant increase to the Ministry of Education's higher education at 16 percent.

The increase has also come the largest education for good - the important welfare programs for teachers, teachers and nurses. The entire 16 percent more looking into educator study, while eight percent more will study nursing and five percent more will be a primary school teacher. Most significant is the increase to the new professional higher education, where 37 percent more looking into, while the increase is 12 percent in all of professional education. Developments pleased Education Bertel Haarder: "I am pleased that more young people now have realized that it is very attractive education. The young are almost guaranteed job and training offers many possibilities, for example, to become a manager or specialize, "says Bertel Haarder. One explanation for the increase is the rise in unemployment in connection with the financial crisis affecting unskilled workers hardest. It can get more people to embark on a course where there are good employment prospects. There has in recent years launched a number of initiatives to strengthen education. The academic content and the link between theory and practice has been buoyed in such education for teacher educators and nurses. The study environment has become much more attractive because programs are now gathered in either university colleges or academies, which have a size so that they can match universities with academic and social environments. Most applicants to the Ministry of Education education comes in through quota 1, where there is a deadline on July 5. There can therefore hope for further increase.
