The Royal Theatre

The Royal Theatre has since 1748 been on Kongens Nytorv.

Since the king's theater has been open to all city residents. The first theater house was designed by the court architect Nicolai Eigtved, the man behind the Amalienborg palaces and it had room for nearly 800 spectators.

Today you can experience theater in the world at the historic Royal Theatre.
