The renowned British researcher, psychotherapist and supervisor, Sue Wheeler, has been appointed Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Humanities at Aalborg University. She will be part of psychology environment, where you look forward to drawing on her skills and experience in University Clinic where psychology students provide free psychological assistance.

Sue Wheeler since 2002 has been professor of psychotherapy at the University of Leicester, where she is the head of their psychotherapy training program. Prior to this, she has for 12 years held a position as associate professor at the University of Birmingham. In addition, she has extensive experience as a clinical supervisor under the auspices of his private practice. Over the years, Sue Wheeler published numerous articles, book chapters, reports and books on psychotherapy and psychotherapy supervision based on empirical research and clinical experience. Among the recent releases may include include a comprehensive report in which she, on behalf of the British Board of Health has described a number of compulsory subjects, which are required to obtain certification as a psychotherapist and thus obtain employment in public positions in the UK. Sue Wheeler occupies such a central position in the British Clinical / psychotherapeutic training, research, and professional development, and she is among the few internationally recognized researchers in clinical supervision (which is AAU's Universitetskliniks core research). - With her focus on practical and theoretical psychotherapy and supervision and particularly training in the same suit Sue Wheeler good for our academic profile and she will certainly be able to add our environment very much, says associate professor and clinic director Claus Haugaard Jacobsen, AAU.
