Minister of Education visited the science festival for teachers

More than 300 science teachers from 25 European countries and Canada gathered for the festival Science on Stage, where they inspired each other to exciting lessons.

"I think an event like this is important for many reasons. Firstly, because teachers from all over Europe can learn from each other. It is vital that we develop in relation to science, and more young people are choosing science. That is partly what we are living in the future, "says viewing minister Troels Lund Poulsen. The Minister took a tour of the landscape of the stands, where a teacher introduced him to a hybrid car, he had made with his students. The car can run on electricity generated by hydrogen. "This festival focuses on exciting science education by providing a good example and show how to inspire more young people to think that science is exciting," says Troels Lund Poulsen. More enthusiastic teachers showed the Minister of Education what they had done at home in their schools. "A good science teacher is one who can motivate and create interesting teaching situation where the students will not leave the room when it rings," says Troels Lund Poulsen. The festival, which takes place every two years, lasted from 16 to 19 April. Source: UVM.dk
